We are looking for an Assistant Instructor to co-teach Taekwondo afterschool twice a week at AXIS International Academy from 3:15-4:45pm and to help run a Summer Camp the week of July 19th from 8am-5pm. No Taekwondo experience is required, just a desire to work with children. Training will be provided.
Duties include:
- Leading groups of students through Taekwondo exercises, stretches, games, activities by providing them with instructions, guiding them in their learning, and demonstrating techniques.
- Communicating with families, assisting with pick-up, and contacting families in the event of an emergency.
- Supervising the children.
- Communicating to the students about appropriate behaviors and providing guidance on making safe and inclusive choices.
What we are hoping for:
- Someone with experience working with children.
- Someone excited to work with a diverse group of kids and understands how to create an inclusive environment.
- Someone who understands child development.
- Someone who can lead a group of children aged 5-12 years old.
- Someone with Martial Arts experience, preferably Taekwondo.
- Someone with pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
What we require:
- Must be 18 years or older because the children need adult supervision.
- Must be authorized to Work in the United State.
- Must enjoy working with children.
Pay Ranges from $20-$25 based on experience and skills
